Biographie
Romain Volmer holds a DVM (Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine) (2005) from the Ecole nationale vétérinaire d’Alfort and a PhD (2005) in Virology from the Institut Pasteur, Paris. Between 2006 and 2010, he worked as a Lecturer at the Ecole nationale vétérinaire de Toulouse. He then spent four years (2010-2014) as a post-doc at the University of Cambridge. In 2014, he came back to the Ecole nationale vétérinaire de Toulouse, where he teaches infectious diseases and researches on influenza virus evolution.
Recherche
Romain Volmer leads research projects on influenza virus evolution with a focus on the factors modulating the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses.
